While you were deciding chocolate was unnecessary, I have been leaving my house around 9pm the past 3 days to go to the corner store and get the chocolate I have been craving oh so terribly! I never crave chocolate!

I am glad that you were finally able to get some sleep.

I get what you say about its amphetamine-like traits, but (un)fortunately those traits only lasted the first week for me. I have been more lethargic than ever these past few days!

As far as nicotine, I think it is the nicotine that is the problem. I can forget about smoking throughout the day at work (God knows, I should be too busy to sneak out for a cigarette) but I get very antsy once a certain amount of time passes.

Chris (chantix): Thank you for your kind words. I hope I can make this work for me. I really want to quit! And so it goes...https://www.blogger.com/profile/04713890553595432243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2840842908197688963.post-91822099416427255092007-10-09T12:04:00.000-04:002007-10-09T12:04:00.000-04:00It's been years since I did Zyban but as I recall ...It's been years since I did Zyban but as I recall I switched (cigarette) brands and smoked like a fiend right up to my quit date. So much so that I was just sick of them. Aside from requiring the will to stay off them I found the drug worked well for me. I hope it does for you, too. Hang in there.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10717538452035121174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2840842908197688963.post-83400042442218996652007-10-09T01:42:00.000-04:002007-10-09T01:42:00.000-04:00Yesterday I only took one Zyban in the morning. A...Yesterday I only took one Zyban in the morning. At least I slept last night, but then back to square one (ish) of wanting a cigarette on waking. I just had one, but it didn't taste so good.

Yesterday when I was explaining to someone at work what has been happening with the Zyban (having no desire to eat, sleep, smoke or drink coffee) - they asked if I was on speed? !

Anyway, so I looked up "is Zyban an amphetamine" - and apparently it shares some pharmacology with it! I can't believe this, are we completely mad?

Another funny thing I wanted to share with you is at the weekend I was in the supermarket, and passing the chocolate shelves I thought shall I buy some chocolate and stood looking at it for a while.
I then actually thought "what's the point? Seriously, "what's the point?" .... What's the point???!!! It's Chocolate!!!

Anyway, I didn't buy any and now thinking about it, I don't think I've eaten any chocolate since I started this thing.

Re. the patches - do you think your urge to smoke though is still nicotine addiction or is it more habit? If it is the latter (which I think mine is becoming) do you think that then putting more nicotine into your body might do more harm than good? Just a thought, I really wouldn't know.

Anyway, have a good day.

Chris, London, 6.30amcb1https://www.blogger.com/profile/02681914955308555284noreply@blogger.com
